Terri France is The City Treasurer of Taylorville She was elected  April 3, 2001, re-elected April 5, 2005 and again in April of 2009. Her present term will expire in May 2013. Terri is a Certified Illinois Municipal Treasurer and is a member of the Illinois Municipal Treasurer's Association, serving on the Certification Committee, which continually reviews all standards and accomplishments of IMTA members. She attends all City Council meetings, and Finance and Water Committee meetings.

    The Treasurer's office and Water Collection Department has four full-time employees: Deputy Treasurer Jacque Nation, Alice Boensel, Valerie Miles and Service Technician Richard Reber.

    Duties performed by the Treasurer and Water Collection Department:

• Deposits funds and reconciles all City bank accounts

• Prepares financial statements for Mayor and City Council

• Prepares City Budget, Appropriations and Tax Levy

• Provides City Departments with budget/expenditure reports

• Custodian and Treasurer of Police and Fire Pension Funds

• Payroll processing and monthly, quarterly, annual tax reports

• Application for water /Sewer service

• Bills and collects 5,900 accounts
